Metal Sculpture
I would describe myself as a sculptor who works in metal. Although over the years other materials have come into play, metal is still my material of choice.
I have done three wall mounted pieces that include vintage brass bullet casings. It's poignant to think about what can be done with such a destructive small object. The end results, I hope, are quite powerful.
This wall mounted piece with two bunnies is made from vintage maracas, upside down coat hooks and nut crackers.
Within a clear acrylic box frame, I have created an alphabet of found objects and vintage printing blocks.
It is always what I find that determines what the sculpture becomes and the finding is as interesting to me as the actual making process.
I am constantly inspired by nature and always in awe of the incredible detail that's found in flowers
I created two sheep for two different Ad Campaigns for Swanndri, a New Zealand outdoor clothing company.
For their flagship store in Oxford Street, London, Pret commissioned me to make five sculptures.
In 1995 I was commissioned to design and make the Christmas Windows for Harvey Nichols, London.
